In the early hours of Saturday morning in Union County, Tennessee, a young girl named Chloe Courtney, 18, sadly died in a suspected DUI collision.
She was a beloved friend and daughter and an intelligent student who always had a bright and beautiful smile, leaving everyone sad and devastated.
Accident Details:
Based on a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), On Saturday at around 1:30 a.m., 18-year-old Joshua Chesney was operating a Ford F250 north on Highway 144 when the incident happened.
According to the THP investigation, Chesney was driving while intoxicated during the collision. Before the collision, everyone who was engaged in it acknowledged drinking.
Chloe Courtney,18, was hanging out of the back passenger side window when the truck drove off the road, forcing her to tumble out of the window and become the accident victim. She fell and was killed when the back right tire of the truck drove over her.
The standardized field sobriety tests were administered to Chesney, who did poorly on them. Additionally, THP officers acquired a search warrant to force a blood draw when he refused to consent to have his blood drawn. In addition to vehicular homicide and drunk driving, Chesney faces further allegations.
