Makala Brooks, a well-known member of the Team USA Paintball 2023 Women’s Team, tragically passed mysteriously last week after committing what is shown to be suicide.

Several mental breakdowns contributed to this awful tragedy. The community in South Caroline feels appalled and saddened by this tragic event.

The family may disclose details of the funeral rites in the future, with friends and family paying respect to her and expressing their sorrow on social media.

Just two days ago, we talked about the sport we fell in love with many years ago. I don’t have many pictures of you, but I have many memories we made as we grew up. “I don’t normally post stuff like this, but I haven’t lost a close friend since elementary school. Makala Brooks has been an A1 day one since I met her at BG years ago. We had dreams of playing professional paintball. I’m glad I got to meet such a wonderful person. As you can see, we liked winning but, more importantly, hanging out with the squad and having a good time. You’ll be missed, fam. Glad we could go out on a dub together.”
